Hi everyone! We’ve been on the quiet side lately... this is because we were waiting to share some news with you but couldn't until it became official.... Membrain 2019 is moving location, slightly, don’t freak out, we are staying in Sibenik and it's a huge improvement of where we were. Reason for the move is this - most of you are familiar with the fortress of St. Nicholas, being an important culture site, which is one beach away from Minerska. It has received UNESCO status, making it an official cultural heritage, so next summer's plans are being put in place where the restoration and location will be re-purposed, making it unavailable for us. We are leaving Minerska beach after 3 years and everything we did in that time has had an effect of proportions we couldn’t have imagined when starting this whole adventure with you all. We are happy to say that the enthusiasm and energy has made all the difference, as much as we are all emotional about leaving our lovely location, we are just as excited about the new one. With the help and support of municipality of Šibenik, we are moving into the next and exciting chapter in our development and expansion, joining forces with fellow organisations (Seasplash Festival, Regius festival, RatCat, Nox, Blast Fest, Collage and our friends from NOISE TEST, Boey Audio + many more) and are setting ourselves to create this new location perfect for alternative culture events. So without any further ado, new location is called Martinska () and is across the channel from where we originally were. Surrounded by sea, lush pine forest and beaches, I'm sure you'll agree this is the perfect setting for a festival. Also this year we will finally be able to provide you with official camping, yes you read that right, we have CAMPING on site, and to top it off, we have running water which was a continuing struggle each year. We cannot wait to welcome you to our new setting whilst keeping and growing the vibes we started 4 years ago with you all! More awesome and exciting news coming. We have some things set in motion that will make this year's Membrain Festival ground shaking.... Stay tuned!
